How to make newly imported audio clip in take lanes?

Before we had take lanes, I could just rebuild the layers and I could view all my audio clips when they overlapped. Now if I import a new audio clip, it goes and hides behind the original clip and there's no option to rebuild (Not that I know of). Of course I can move the original clip to see the newly imported clip, but I wish there was an option to do that.
If I add a take lane, highlight it and try to import audio, it still goes to the original take lane. Am I doing something wrong or there isn't an option to do so (yet) ?

I liked the previous options of rebuild layers and remove empty layers and I wish the same features could be available for take lanes also.

Sorry the title should probably be:

Ok just figured out a way of showing newly imported clip overlaps in case someone else runs across the same problem.
    1. Disable Take Lanes
    2. Import audio
    3. Re-enable take lanes
That seems to work pretty consistently.

Do you mean just clicking the take lanes button so they "roll up" into the track, and then expanding them back out again?

You can just edit the title of your original post.
