How to make voice louder (like on the radio) while background music volume "adjusts"

Hi, I am in the process of editing a phone interview I did.  I want the background music to quiet down when I or the guest is speaking but I want it to automatically get louder during the "silent" portions of the interview, such as in between sentences and when the guest pauses - exactly how a radio station does it live when the host is speaking.  I'm assuming this deals with a compression setting, which would automatically "compress" the music in the background as someone speaks and then make it louder during those 1-3 second pauses in between sentences.

But I do not know how to accomplish this in Sonar.  If anyone knows, it would be appreciated!  Thanks,

Ryan

Refered to as "ducking" you can accomplish this by using the sidechain feature on your compressor.  Which one do you use?
