How to map Battery 3 with NI Maschine?

Hey

I wondering how to set up Battery 3 with Maschine. I want to use the 16 pads to trigger samples from Battery kits. Any tutorials or videos around?

Thanks

I am starting the same venture as you....but I am going to try to not only map Battery but also my Superior Drummer and EZ Drummer and eventually maybe some other things as well......But since I HAVE NOT done this as of yet but have a general idea so you are going to have to experiment as well here.....just saying.....these are very general directions ... think of them as pathways......general pathways.....

When you installed machine (I assume 1.7) did you also install the "controller"...if you did a regular installation chances are that you did.....If you did a custom installlation and chose not to then you will need to find out how to install it.....

(Now since I will be trying this tonite so I am assuming a bit here) open your DAW. Insert Machine, then on a different track insert Battery for you (SD2 for me) and then bring up your controller GUI.....

Machine pads should light up.....click on the Pad of your choice it should bring up a mapping drop down box....
NowYou will need a mapping chart for Battery....you should be able to find one around some where.....I know that toon track has em for all their products.....
Find the root note for the kick you want to map from battery into machine.....entere this info in the machine drop down dialog box.

you should now have a kick from battery mapped to machine.....hit your chosen pad.....doe it work?...if so you did it right....if not....well you are going to need to experiment a bit more.....

Remember I am going to have to do the same thing tonite so I am not trying to be a smart guy here....just saying what I generally "THINK" I know.....I will get back to you tomorrow on how successful I was or was not.....

    Also:
You may want to try asking this question on the Native Instrument Machine forum....I am sure some one there knows a whole lot more that me....

2nd. try this web site.....they are strictly Machine tutorials.....http://maschinetutorials.com/

3rd. try the NI Machine website .....they have free tutorials as well .... might find it there....

4th try You Tube like this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlI3aBvO5VA&list=PL2C6CD0416524E5F5&index=1&feature=plpp_video  show a lot...in fact it is St. Joe Explaining mapping / automating Battery knobs....He states that he has already made a video of Mapping Battery in Machine so you should be able to find it brother.....

    Hope some of this helps....
