How to quantize a drum fill that has been recorded live?

Hi everyone,

I need to quantize a drum fill that has been recorded live and sent to me as a wav.  The fill is only a small section of the wav file/recording but it's ever so slightly out of time, i.e. late.  By the way, I'm still using Sonar 5.  Would someone be kind enough to guide me as to how to quantize this drum fill?

A response, as always, would be greatly appreciated.

D from London

I'm not sure if AudioSnap was included in Sonar 5 so you'll have to do it the old fashioned way... assuming the drum fill is on a track by itself or is playing solo, just cut and paste it so that its in time. You may have to cut it into small snippets, but that's doable if you zoom in real close.

Thank you so much for replying; I'll have to search for Audiosnap within the program.  I've either heard of the term or seen it on some menu.

    You're very kind.

I am pretty sure it was not in Sonar 5, I thought it was introduced in Sonar 6.
