How to "catalog" Synth Presets in a Spreadsheet

How to "catalog" Synth Presets in a Spreadsheet

I am seeking a method of "cataloging" various synth banks and presets for Rapture, et al, basically identifying which patches's I like, which could use some tweaking, but without entering the names manually. Is there a text file located somewhere in the synth's file structure that the software reads to display the patches?
