How to record output of a bus?

Hi everyone,

I want to record the preview output of "Browse Media" window in Sonar X3 (Windows7). How can I do it?
It is a long story but I got hooked to a sound that Sonar mangles during preview, I couldn't get the same sound by stretching the audio etc. If I can record the output of "preview" bus that'd be so great!

Thanks.

Insert a send on the preview bus to a new aux track. Record on the aux track.

"Export" the mix, selecting the bus as the source...

He has X3 - I don't think that functionality is in X3.

I have used Voxengo Recorder for this in the past.

It is a 32-bit plugin, but it is free.

Oh oops, sorry, I skipped over that part. Good reason to upgrade perhaps? ;)
