How to record to the existing MIDI clip instead of new clip piece?

Hello.

I've been using Sonar for a long time and have a little inconvenience with recording MIDI clip but couldn't find the solution.

If I try to record to the existing MIDI clip(sound on sound(blend)), new clip is created into the existing MIDI clip so I have to bounce them to integrate them every time(also have to set clip color and name again).

Is there any methods to record MIDI sequencing to the existing MIDI clip instead of recording it by creating new clip into existing clip?

Please give me some help.
Thanks

I believe the new "layers" is the default setting for recording.... I don't use the sound on sound blend method..... I opt to delete and redo....

I do think you can change a setting to allow what you wish to accomplish but I'm not 100% sure, or where it is.

Someone will have the exact answer in a bit.
