Interesting idea, just wondering the implications when it come to installing any updates to X1 or to the plug-ins?

nothing ...the most important is that the unique plugin ID is not touch in the regestry we're changin the name as how "the plugin manager" display the dll name (witch is untouched !!!) When you update , the exe will handle the dll keeping the same id ...so cooling

Thanks for the heads up. I found a way to make ProChannel modules show in FX Bin as normal VST plug-ins. :-) Freedom!

No I haven't. FX Bin ON/OFF button's location is a mystery to me. If I could find a way to adjust FX Bin width...

For sonar X1 users : You can do it via the plugin manage by double clinking on the plugin (in the plugin list ) as "new friendly name" ... But when you hit enter you have that long (depend on number of plugins installed) refresh that making me crazy !!

"rename ProChannel moduls and 3r party plugins!" okay cool and thanks for sharing......but............ ...............what happens when you later want to run an new update of these plugins/ add:ons and 3part plugins?.........when the original registry name doesn't match in registry anymore?.....................*thinking..... ............................................................... ............whoops*....I never thought about that?...... ....I guess it will crash the system....or you can't run the update.....? ........ whoops "sorry"....?! ************************* I would "safely" want to rename the names in SONAR X1 too...but be aware or the problems you might face in the future changing the registry name values!..I'm just saying..

Some "checksum" Install File (Checksum Integrity Verifier (FCIV)) check for valid registry ID + vaild serial number, registration code and etc....to proceed the installation.. I'm not here to "kill the party" my friend... I just saying you should be careful using registry hacks.
