maybe you could find something usefull here.

    http://www.cakewalk.com/DevXchange/sfz.asp

not sure if it will help, but I found a couple of interesting things to work with.

EDIT: after second look...I dont think it has anything relating to what you are looking for :P
maybe it was in the cakewalk synth book???

    oh well.

    No,

Rapture doesn't work like this. If you want to deal with pure waveforms, try a VA synth, like Z3ta+ or Pentagon.

It's not too difficult. It's possible to do the math and use a wave editor, but you can use Rapture's interface as well.
A good MIDI Note Number to Frequency Conversion Chart will help a great deal.

1). Click on the Multisample editor window, and load up 000 - sine.wav.
2). Change the default Keytrack setting from 100 to a value of 0. This will force any incoming MIDI note to play at middle C (MIDI Note 60=261.626 Hz.).
3). Drop the Transpose setting to -18 semitones. That will bring you to F# (MIDI Note 36= ~92.5 Hz.)
4). Drop the Tune control by about -50 cents or so (100 cents to a semitone).

Alternately, you can drop the Transpose to -19, and add around +50 cents in the Tune control.
