How to show video thumbnails?

Video playback works correctly but I can't get SONAR show video thumbnails. 
PDF manual page 237 says that button B is used to show/hide thumbnails.  It does not work.  Right-click menu / Show/Hide Video Thumbnails does nothing.

Video format is mpg, rendered with Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 1.0.

Help! I' can't contact CW because I use 'unsupported platform' as they call my mods...

    Try converting to AVI Panup. Sonar is a problem child when it comes to video. Also you may need to to make some key frames for the thumbnails to show up.

    Thanks for your advice. I have almost never tried to use video in SONAR and I was not aware of pitfalls...
