Depending on the height of said column,  may I suggest the use of a ladder--or possibly a trampoline.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?

I guess that depends upon what kind of column … you would certainly apply a different cleaning methodology to a distillation column than you would an architectural column.

… and then again, when my son was in daycare he had a friend named Colm.  His parents pronounced it “Column” and I suspect that they used different technique than either of the methods applied to the distillation or architectural column.

Cleaning is over-rated.

Hey, you think that has anything to with me not having a girlfriend?

If the columns are anything like the ones used at Stonehenge, a bathtub is all you need.

Eduarissimus - the answer, of course, depends on how thick said column is.

Can you manage 'polishing' with one hand or two?

Or do you need help from someone else?

I mean, Nelson must need a lot of help.
