How would I go about this in Midi

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AP-fH5PpDqM
Is this beat available in  any drum  software like Toontrack, Session Drummer, AD2 etc.

My noob approach is: download the score (there is a link under that video), and put it into Step Sequencer:

As noob drummer, I will play it as paradiddle. And since I am a noob, I can not say either on video he really plays it such way. But for MIDI that is not important

It's commonly known as a 'train beat'. There are certainly a few in AD2.

You can use any of the loops in AD2 by dropping them into the midi track. For example, open your media browser to where you keep your midi files. On my PC its in Cakewalk Content under midi library. Open Sonar and add AD2. Drop the file in you AD2 track and your ready to go

    Thanks for the freebies!
Download those from groove monkey and take the file and move it to your Cakewalk Content folder under midi library. In the file you'll find plenty of midi files to play with. Have fun!

    My pleasure Bill....

This excellent video overview of train beats by Jimmy Riley from Rascal Flatts, might help if you want to create your own, say in Step Sequencer
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4xXrJ-HMgBY

It's all sixteenth notes with various accents, so it would be really all about tweaking the velocities.

IF you wanted to try Step Sequencer check this one

Sounds like a simple two step beat.

4 on the floor with the kick and snare on 2 & 4.   occasional fills with other hand.

    That's a breeze to program.
