How would you feel if your wife...
... Did a chill dubstep tune with her foster-cousin, and needed to take some photos of herself being somewhat suggestive? As in this could be the picture that represents the song... And it's going to Warner Brothers...
I'm totally being serious.
I just took about 300 photos, and I'm editing down, and it occurs to me.... Huh. My husband's pretty cool with this kinda thing as a general rule... But... Whoa.
I've never actually tried to do this before, and I've come to the conclusion that I look like an idiot when I bite my lip and try to be all "come hither". So, it will probably be NOT those ones. I'm no supermodel, so nothing goes (much) below my shoulders...
And I hesitate to even put this out there, but I'm NOT posting this to Facebook for opinions from my Uncles and Aunts and stuff... No, I won't be posting samples here. Forget it.
But how would you feel???

honestly - I'm sure I'd have mixed emotions about it. on the one hand I'd probably get a little jealous of all the guys "learing" at my beautiful wife.... on the other hand, I'd be proud that she could do that and that she's my wife!  guess that's probably kiind of a guy thing. but personally I don't have anything to worry about...my wife don't even know what dubstep is!

You know, I've written many a song that could be misconstrued into something that isn't... And he's always been ok with it. In fact, Ed, as you said, "It's Art". He has said the exact same thing.
I don't know. I just always worry what my mother is going to think. That'sprobably why I'm not Lady Gaga already.
I suppose I'll show him the edits and see which he thinks.... And THEN He will have earned his cut. :D

another serious note for thought - how would you feel if your kids saw the pics? or your mother? (since you mentioned her). because if WB jumps on the demo then the pics will eventually be public!
No judgment here at all, just invoking thought.
if you would feel embarrased if your kids/family saw them, then I would advise not to do it. if you are proud enough of the art that it is and are not embarrassed by it, then go for it!

It honestly wouldn't bother me. If it did I'd be able to discuss it.
The only thing that would freak me out is if it all started being a bit covert, as that would indicate some discomfort on her part about it.
I'd likely just be proud, it's show-business after all. Of course there's the thing of taste as well if it was just crass, was likely to make her look stupid or devalue her dignity in some way I'd call it out but that's a whole 'nother issue.
That's just me though and I can understand others having totally different views on the subject. Such is the nature of individual morality.

Jules, I think you should let us be the judge as to you looking like and idiot biting your lip and looking suggestive.
On a more serious note, its the business. You do what's necessary to sell the product. Obviously you'll want to stay within what is your comfort zone of what's appropriate, but have some fun. The stuff that makes you smile, (even that little evil smile) is what's going to attract the attention. Let it fly girl!
