Doktor Avalanche I would not let a month go by without begging for a new drum maps UI.
Has this been requested on the feedback forum? I would def vote for it.

Beepster Can we get some attention paid to automation now? Like maybe some automation "track" type stuff where the user can draw/record/edit automation and have it affect multiple automation envelopes in a project. Basically a "write it/assign it" (or vice versa) set up that then writes the automation into the ACTUAL automation lanes. Maybe a "send to" pasting style option that can be pasted using range select (so you can overwrite parts of existing envelopes without overwriting the whole thing). Stuff like that. It would sure make my life a million times simpler.
I would LOVE this too and an automation overhaul in general is much needed. It got a little better w/ X1 but still has a long way to go before it's truly be easy to work w/ automation data.

http://forum.cakewalk.com/Drum-Map-Manager-UI-UpdateRefurb-m3097383.aspxThere is a little issue with this request. The problem described in initial post doesn't exist actually, because you can do what poster want. But there are some good ideas further.

Geo524 Sorry Dok. I am connected to the internet, but only to receive updates. Other than that internet is always disabled in device manager. I don't mean to hijack the thread but I have to ask about disabling the 'net in the Device Manager. I also only connect for updates but disconnect in the system tray and then pull out the USB WiFi device when it turns off. I'm happy to disconnect in the Device Manager but want to make sure I click the EXACT right part (I have a variety of USB items connected). I'm quite comfortable working in the Manager so if it is easy to point out what to disable, that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Steve

Sonar Platinum | Windows 10 64-bit | 8 cores | 16GB Ram | Focusrite Scarlett 2nd generation 18i20 interface | too many guitars, way too much software | Presonus Eris 8 Monitors (thinking about a Presonus T8 sub!)

Under network adapter right click your network adapter and click disable. You don't need to pull out the adapter (or any leads connected to it if it's ethernet) it's already disabled. Or... If you WiFi is an external adapter just pull it out, it will disappear from device manager anyway (no need to worry about device manager).

Noel Borthwick [Cakewalk]
Tom Riggs For performance reasons I prefer to have the internet access for sonar blocked. So if there is no interest from cake to "FIX" this I will just have to disable the start menu completely as it is not useful to me in it's current state.
Its obviously a bug and we'll fix it. The start screen is rendered outside of SONAR (for performance reasons) by a client side HTML component. I'm not sure why it would care that there was a server connection - it could just be an oversight in the code.
After launching the Platinum, The Start Screen takes quite long to appear. It happens only when I am connected to slow internet as it tries to access http://www.cakewalk.com/Start/SONAR# I have posted on http://forum.cakewalk.com/Start-screen-problem-in-slow-internet-m3292284.aspx#3292315

It's me again. It would be awesome if the latest version of Platinum (Ipswich) is available for demo within Command Center. Just sayin'.
Thanks! (Cash in hand, perhaps ready to be spent). [Walks backwards out of room, turns off lights and closes door.]

Kudos to the team for the ezine supporting the update! The ezine is clear, concise, well written and edited. This is the first update ezine I've seen and downloaded. Just a suggestion but I believe the ezine deserves its own announcement; it's that good.

Thank you very much, Jim. It takes a lot of work so it's gratifying to be appreciated.
