Huge "Thanks!" to Truckermusic for saving this Christmas Song...

Honorable mentions to FastBikerBoy who attempted to save my file as well. Before I started saving like I do now I only kept one file of a song I was working on. This one song got corrupted and I couldn't access but Truckermusic did. I owe him a nice dinner... Christmas Song "Lo" http://www.youtube.com/wa...A&index=1&feature=plcp Awesome Forum...

There are several parts of this song that I like very much.  The vocal is quite good, and the arrangement is interesting.  The drums and synth are well done, but unfortunately, they drown the lead vocal so much that I never would have thought this to be a Christmas song if it wasn't in the title of the post.  The words are completely lost to me, and I think Christmas songs should have clear and easily understood vocals.  The good news is that this is an easy fix; just drop the volume a bit on the synth and drums and this may turn into a classic.

    All the best,
    Lynn

Lynn, Thanks for being willing to listen and post a comment. I wish the singing had been more intelligible for your enjoyment. There is a Christmas "easter egg" in the guitar melody line after the singing and I will post the lyrics (that I think show a serious reflection on Christmas) here for any so inclined to read them. I cannot seem to get paragraphs so sorry for the tedium ;-) "Lo" Copy write belongs to Eric Locke See the old snow in front of this house Pushed aside like careless vows See the mother hurried inside She'll leave with her children tonight Wing to claw she turns to fly Solo... She has her coat but no smile She has his name but not his eyes He says if you walk out that door you won't be daddy's little girl anymore She breathes it in and turns to fly Solo... Before I make merry tonight before I can laugh in the lights I need to hear that story once again tell me Of plans long ago To call a people your own A people that squandered...their home....You are home As your feet came to the edge and as your heart did condescend and as your arms found their span tilted in...to fly...So low Regards conga
