Well, I may have gotten excited too soon, I cannot find it on any local (Atlanta area) stations. It figures.

OK so I looked up the schedule and found it was on at 10pm on the digital PBS channels.... good ..that means hi-def.

So 10pm comes.... sure enough, there's "Dr House" slammin out some blues on a road trip.

I got to say the guy can sing pretty good and plays a piano extremely well.  He showed off his piano skills on several songs.

Some pretty talented guests came on with him, and yeah... I got to say, I enjoyed the roots blues N'Orleans style.

Thanks for the heads up on this show.

It wasn't a straight up "concert". It was a road trip of sorts across Texas with a few local stops in Austin  and Lukenbach, and then on to the Big Easy. The songs were interspersed with some historic commentary and interesting tidbits.

Maybe they will get around to showing it here. I wrote an email to the Atlanta station asking about it. It seems they ignored me. I could speculate on why they didn't play it but I wont.

I am glad you got to see it.

It might well show up on the PBS website. They have a full almost hours long show with Hugh Laurie in New Orleans at this link:

Some really good musicianship by all concerned. People forget how good a musician Laurie is. He really does play the stuff you see him play on House, just not all of it is done while he's actually on camera in a shot. Some of it gets re-done in post production.
