Hybrid Home Studio (old school_for sure)

Home (Hybrid) studio consisting of:
Dell pc SONAR Professional
Yamaha MG20xu
iConnectivity midi i/o
KORG LE
dr groove 202 drum machine
Focusrite trackmaster channel strip
as well as Roland/ Cakewalk VS-20 hardware controler
Fostex D-108 8 track multitrack
Fender P bass Tele and acoustic guitars (of course)
lets not forget Teac 4910 open reel Sony minidisc , turntable, and all associated media.

tracking on the pc i never looked forward to..but, I actually have vs 20 and the MG 20 usb...audio interface, both connected at the same time. Tracking through the Yamaha Mg20XU , playing back through the vs20 as control surface.
it actually works. It was the delay (latency) i was experiencing with just the mixer i/o alone that was driving me crazy. It seems to be gone now Go figure. Only drawback is ...when you track using headphones you need to pan playback tracks hard right or left in the software and the mixer, And then whatever signal you're recording pan hard the other direction. And it works.

just had to tell someone!
