    Hi Scotty,

I did listen to B.R.C and Glenn T.'s versions after first hearing your song post .
after giving the others a listen  I gave your tune a fresh listen .
I will say, your cover of this tune  is very nice
    very young and upbeat sounding
your version   has a  real nice edge on the guitars , Vox and overall general vibe of the song

    Hi Scott,
Very good cover.  Enjoyed the parts and especially the guitar work.  Needs some bottom.  Lead vocal could use some umph.  I was just told that for my new song too!

I didn't expect this.  I don't know the song and can settle for this version because I don't know that it could sound better.  When are you guys coming to Phoenix?  :-)  Nice guitar work!

This has most of the elements of a country song except it lacks a little bit of drive.  The vocals are well done, and the song has the prerequisite hook line that is needed for this style.  It's very close to being there.  All it needs, imo, is a little front to back depth to give it some three dimensionality.  Overall, this is a nice effort.

    All the best,

I have never heard this song before, so I will take yours as the original version for me.

Great work.  Your band plays very well together and the mix is tight.  I believe your guitar player does justice to the song.   The playing is relaxed yet dead on.

    Scott,

What a great cover.  Sounds great.   I could hear one more higher harmony on the chorus (like a Diamoned Rio BGV)  Guitars sound outstanding.  Nice.

    Kenny,
Thank you for your review.  I chose the edgy guitar sound to rock it up a little, kinda like country meets 80's rock.

    Rimshot,
Thank you very much! I'm glad that you like the guitar parts. I appreciate your ears and I will be remixing this right after Buffer re-sings his vocal track. He isn't happy with it for some reason.

    Warren,
Thank you brutha! I hope you're feeling better. Phoenix? Maybe next year, who knows?

    Lynn,
Thanks for listening. Unfortunately, this is the drivingest country song we play. Lemme know if you can suggest a way to add more drive and I'll be happy to take it into account.

    Lance,
Thanks for the review and the comps on my guitar playing. I'm just a beginner having a lot of fun.

    Radio,
Hi James! Thanks for checking us out! Gotta get this dang demo done so I can move onto other projects. Happy V-day!

    Paulo,
Sorry about that. Maybe you'll need to close your browser and reopen it.

    Markno999,
Thank you for your suggestion. I'll see if we can make something work.  Thanks for the comps on the guitar parts.

    Beagle,
Thank you, kind sir! It's still a WIP but I'll have it done with a new vocal track or two and some minor tweaks.

    Robby,
Move to VT and you'll be the one!

    Hi Scotty,
the improvements you did are very nice
the vox sounds so much more up front and true to the genre
all the instruments are sitting right where they need to be in your mix
every thing is ringing clear as a bell

    Thank you, Freddy

    Kenny,
Thanks for listening again and expressing your point of view. I panned the harmony vox, gave the kick, bass, piano and strings a slight boost and added a third harmony to the chorus. I appreciate the suggestions made earlier by the others too.

Not familiar with the song and not a big fan of country music, but with that crunchy guitar gave it a nice rock edge (I don't remember ever hearing pinch harmonics in a country song before!) and I really enjoyed it!! Really solid performances all around and no crits on the mix...
