You should be able to download a newer version for free from your motherboard manufacturer, but flashing a bios (which has nothing to do with being naked under a coat Bill ) can be a tricky process. I Need Ram Memory! 2014/05/18 20:15:37 (permalink) I have the lowly i3 Second Generation Dell. I upgraded my memory to the max allowed with my cheapo machine, 8 Gigs. Sonar X3 runs great with it...no need to upgrade at this time. When I upgraded my RAM I bought genuine Dell Ram 4 Gig sticks....I have had no problems with them at all. They fired up right away and have been working for about 2 years now. They were a couple of bucks more money, but worth it...no hassles at all. post edited by djwayne - 2014/05/18 20:22:57 #42

Your First mistake is you spoke to the "geek squad".. the D drive is "usually" your DVD drive, don't replace that.. UNLESS its E I think you have two drives is a Raid 0 config, those both should be the C drive then your DVD drive you have 4 SATA connectors on the MB, you should see two sata cables to the C drives, one cable to the DVD, and thats leaves one vacant connector (probably be sata 3). there also should be a spare power connector, and a vacant bay to mount the new HD, look in the bay for some plastic rails, these rails mount to your HD and they slip into mounting slots in the bay.. Do you still have your owners manual for your PC? if not download it from the Dell site, it will walk you through installing the new HD.
