I Just Don't Get It

So I go over to KVR to see if the new feature in Cakewalk was announced yet. It wasn't , so I posted it.
 
Out of left field come all of these guys who can't wait to take a bite out of Cakewalk. The same old BS- The software is buggy. I had lockups back in 1987 blah blah blah. Some of the old guard I guess who used 8.5 and never stopped crying about the aero GUI in X1 can't get over it. I LOVE the GUI. 
I have been using Cakewalk since before pro 8. I haven't had the kinds of issues these guys always claim to have. Granted there are a few over there who love the program and are happily using it. 
 
I would almost swear a few of these guys are competition trying to undermine Cakes efforts. Is that a paranoid statement? It would be no different than staged product reviews by the competition designed to make brand B look bad. I know that happens.
 
It seems to never end...I can't want until some of these old curmudgeons finally get to the nursing home.

It's always the same 2 or 3 people. Any thread that mentions Cakewalk or Sonar, and they're all over it like an unpleasant rash.
 
Apparently some people get a kick out of doing that sort of thing.

It might be inaccurate to assume that a handful of beginners on KVR speak for the masses. 
 
I think Cakewalk is taken seriously by lots of people .
 
The same 2 or 3?  I probably gave this too much attention already. Not worth the time or effort.

Just let me be clear about one thing ...
If anyone around here is looking to become a prime example of a first rate music forum alpha a$$hole .
I already have that position covered .You better not challenge my authority  .....or else ....
......................self deprecating humor is a good tool for cutting through all the many  layers of BS
 
Now personally , what I said above is not my M O ( unless I don't know that it is and I'm in deep denial )
 
I have frequented enough forums over the course of time . It has gotten to the point where I have run into Jerks that are currently using that same old exact type of strategy and ideological philosophy  as their main form of interacting with all the people they come in contact with on all levels of their communication in the home , work place and society ...

I don't know man , given the choice between being the guy who walks into a room full of people  and says to himself I'm the humblest guy here or the fella who is happy just to be there in the same room embracing his unworthiness ....
 
I think I'm gonna go with guy #2 ...even though inside myself at times i do feel like guy #1

Yes it does seem like a lot of kids but maybe the occasional old timer too who used CW "once upon a time". I don't know. I'm just in that kind of a mood today. Some days I will happily jump into any peeing contest you give me, some days I save myself the energy and just try to enjoy life. We can beyond any doubt show that this is a stable product. I could even dare say make some of them cower if i wanted to do that. This wasn't my goal. I simply wanted to tell the world we have a great new feature. I waffle between, "Have a good day" and "screw them"  Depends on which day you catch me. My downfall I know.

I'm not getting more arguing on KVR... about subjects (Sonar/Cakewalk) where 2-3 (kids???) are clearly not well informed.

No need to go Fruity Loops and try to Reason out with some Propellerhead's that can't even Ableton to use their Logic Pro coz they can't get any Tracktion from a Mixbus short bus....no Cakewalk here bro.

I realize I'm preaching to the choir here, although for awhile there we had a few haters  trying to pull people over to another daw. In part because of the whole Gibson affair people were looking at other options and using this forum to discuss that. I looked around some too, but I never  took my interest too far away from CbB because Platinum was stable and I had all of those 3rd party plugins in a daw that worked well, plus I think people gave up too soon. I would swear if one of those guys was at the drive in window at McDonalds waiting for his Big Mac, they would have left the line after 5 minutes....patience man No happy meal for you today. Some people are still acting a bit skittish, worried about this and that. My advice to them would be- Eat a Happy meal, use the durned FREE daw you have now and have  fun doing it. Am I right?  Ming isn't this cruel baron who's gets his kicks making us wait. Good things take time, fast is over with before you know it and usually isn't as much fun Whoa there, my mind is drifting....anyways what was I saying? Oh yeah, a lot has already happened in a short time. The bakers have been working their buns off we get regular updates and people over on KVR still complain. It's like repetitive ring of BS.
 
I don't really have a dog in this fight. My motive has more to do with  factual evidence or facts. When I see someone re writing the history of Cakewalk according to THEM which is always a paraphrase, or basing a whole product line off of a few bad experiences that in some  cases were user related, I tend to get a little riled because there are people who don't know any better and believe that bull pucky, tripe, whatever you care to call it. Granted who didn't have a program issue at all EVER in win 98 or Vista? You couldn't run anything on those for any length of time and not have a conflict. I just don't see exactly the same level of crap directed at PT or Cubase or any of the others.
