I think it sounds great as-is. Slightly more compressed than I'd do for a song like this, but that's just a personal preference. It's a good mix. Do you have an exciter, console emulator or something on the vox? Maybe an 1176-type comp? It sounds a little crunchy, especially when the harmony comes in. Not that that's bad, it's just that everything else is so clean it makes the vocals sound like they're going through a PA system.
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

Ok cool, yeah the vocals were recorded years ago when I was using an ADAT, I'm sure I recorded through a compressor back then, an ART Pro VLA and likely didn't know what I was doing lol, not sure I do yet, but I no longer record compressed. also I must confess some serious pitch correction on the two me harmonies parts, the girl less so... Thanks for the input.

I agree with Bit, this mix isn't bad at all. Nice and wide. The hi hat sounds a little crispier than I'd like, but that could be compression artifacts from Soundcloud. I actually like the lead vocal as is. Regards, Dan

nice laid back lounge rock! I think the mix is pretty dead on, myself. maybe a little compressed on the final, but that's a matter of taste. love that guitar solo!

It's a cool tune, nice mood and vocals. Seemed a little long to me though. Would have liked to hear it transition to something else at some point, at least enough to break it up. But all in all, nice song. The playing and sound professional to me.

Glad you're liking it :), I should mention that I do have a good bit of Ozone stuff on the master bus, so I can tame that back... Voda I hear you on the length, I could cut out one of the chorus's at the end easy enough. These day's I'm much more mindful on keeping my songs shorter, but sometimes you just can't help yourself lol. I do appreciate your comments.... keep them coming

Very cool Sixfinger - nice playing and laid back feel. Mix sounds pretty good to me - maybe the vocals are a TAD too loud (a flea's finger nail on the fader)

I'm trying to imagine you guys doing this in front of the shed. I like your music. Mix was good to me. When the full harmonies came in I was really impressed. I like the song a lot.

What's not to like? Interesting lyrics, terrific instrumentation on all tracks, spot on vocals and harmonies. On my monitors the mix is flawless (not like I'm qualified). Excellent work.

Once again thank you. As much as I wanted to record this in the shed... I opted for a more heated space :)

Sounds pretty good here. Nice open feel, cool guitar parts. About the only thing I would personally do is set the lead vocal back in 3D space a little; perhaps a bit of reverb and/or delay. Even that's a nit thing...
