Hey,What's Up,Everyone...
O.k.,i bought the Cakewalk MC 5 Software For Better Production,And I'm Trying To Get It To Get FeedBack From The Mixer,And I Do Not know what i'm doing wrong...
My mixer is the Behringer Xenyx 802 and my Laptop is a HP Compaq Presario CQ62,OS Is windows 7 Home Premium and the soundcard is realtek HD Audio...
i can hear my vocals thru speakers,But the software is not picking it up...What Am I Doing Wrong???

ok,cool,now the audio settings,i have realtek HD audio drivers,and it picks up,but no playback,what is going on with that,i went into the properties menu,and it is not coming out of the speakers...

hmm. well, my BEST advice to you is to get a better soundcard. the realtek is just a chip on the motherboard and it's not designed for recording. I have recommendations on my website for soundcards.
can you hear playback if you have headphones or speakers connected directly to the realtek outputs without using the mixer?

ok,i can hear it all the way now,but now configurining the volume settings,i'm trying to use ASIO4All,honestly, need a walkthrough with asio4all,how to config the offset in order to get the staticy hissing????

oh,i tried connecting it the way it was in the pic,but no sound,and other ways of connecting it,so i'm gonna connect it like in the pic,and tweaking it from CWMC 5 and see what happens...

What speakers are you trying to listen to?
The laptop speakers will probably be disconnected if you have anything plugged into the headphone/line out jack.
If you are using external speakers, they must be plugged into the CTRL ROOM OUT jacks.
Make sure the CD/TAPE TO CTRL button is depressed.

okay,i know it's been a while,i just got the red ucontrol uca222 (but looked on the back,and it really says uca202,But we're not gonna talk about that) and i'm looking on the pdf version of the instruction manual, and 1 thing is bothering me is...
it says,"connect the output to the subgroup(in that case,ALT 3-4 subgroup)
what is that supposed to be???
i mean i have a behringer xenyx 802 analog mixer
and i don't even see it
all i see is "line In 3/4"
do the manual mean that or something else???

you don't have an ALT 3/4 on the 802. an ALT 3/4 is only on a 2 stereo bus mixer, yours is 1 stereo bus. you're going to need to connect it to the mains out. - just like on the picture of that 802 connection. the UCA 222 is the soundcard - connect it to the main outs just like it says "to soundcard" on the picture.

ok,i'm getting sound,but cant record,and i have my speakers in the main out,i used splitters,but low sound,i try to record with cwmc 5,nothing,no vocal pickup or anything,i get sound,even when i talk thru my microphone,but no response
