I Need More Power

Sometimes the Ignore feature is not enough. How about a Personal Ban, with no evidence they exist? My "moods" would thank you. It get's old being bombarded with negative vibes.

PS - semi-serious.....

    Hi,

I do too! In the leg lag department! But at 64, I'm told that ... it declines!

Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

Gee, I wonder who he wants to ban personally...
(Too bad two negative vibes don't make a positive one!)

I just bail for a few weeks if people around here are making me get too internet ragey. It's forum burnout and we all get it (at least those of us who aren't here specifically to tick people off).

You've been doing good and learning a lot so yeah, if you start getting that type of burnout take some time and just play around with what you've absorbed. It's very refreshing. Then you'll have a pile of new questions and a fresh perspective. Those annoyances will seem really minor after stepping back a bit. This is just about the best forum out there with the best people so it's really easy to drown out/ignore the wanks.

I have never put anyone on ignore (here or anywhere else online).

Of course I could be the wank you are trying to ignore. In which case I fart in your general direction (with all love and respect of course).

Look, we are all imaginary people here. Not in the ultimate sense that our perception of ourselves exists only in our own imaginations in a world of illusion, but just in the ordinary sense that the persona you can intuit from the words you see here is accidentally and deliberately false. I, for example, have chosen to present the person of an aging, self absorbed retired professional with an overbearing style punctuated by discontiguous flashes of quirky humor. In fact I am a half-caste child prostitute in Yangon, who has access to the internet only when a foreign businessman falls asleep and leaves his laptop unattended. The idea that imaginary people meeting in this phantasmagoric setting would become seriously upset by the insults or misunderstandings of other imaginary people they meet here strains credulity.

Seriously upset is a long way from being bombarded by negative waves.
Here is my dream rule. If you can't even complement someone in a post without throwing out some nebulous defect in Sonar, you may need sensitivity training. It has nothing to do with me. I'll be cruisin thru a thread enjoying the heck out of it all, and then Boom, here come da judge!

When blocked, I am at least somewhat clear of...

Well, since I have this weird song filter in my head(everything I see do hear say, reminds me of a song from somewhere  deep in the recesses of my memories), it brings to mind the tune, "Don't Bring Me Down".

We all spread something in our interactions with the world.. We each choose what that "something" is.

And it gets worse if we listen to Amon Duul 2 and Carmen!
