I Party All Night And Don't Care Why!

Song I recorded last year. Lost the master tracks in a hard drive crash to it but I thought the mix to it turned out pretty decent either way. I really can't  hear where there is room to add vocals or anything else to it so I left it as is.

I dunno if I will re-record this one or not. Maybe..... I dunno....

Thanks for listening.

like it - I still would add some vocals to it, there is plenty of room for them!

Rock on Bobby, I'm digging this. I've always liked the tone of your guitar. I would have liked to hear a bit more of a tune. This still works for me, Strong stuff. I hope to work with you soon!!!

Sounds like a missing track from Ram It Down...now where's your inner Halford?! Great sound to the guitars. Drums are pretty flat and mechanical though. Great tune Bobby

Thanks for listening and replying. I have a few other things going on right now but I might re-record this, change a few things around. I'm not a singer, Anything I try to add to this would have to be really fast verse lines and I don't know if I could do it to be honest.

    Thanks again!!

Thanks Terry, I ain't working with nothing fancy, just Pod Farm 1 and my guitar & bass. Not sure what to do with this tune. I'm thinking I might need to change it to have better room for words, well obviously I need to rerecord it since I lost the masters in a hard drive crash, that is unless I work off of this mixdown.

    Thanks again!!

Thanks James, It was a learning song if nothing else, a little different technique than I normally play. I was trying to sound a little more modern, or at least different than I normally do.

    Thanks again James,

Thanks Mark, I have the worst time trying to get a decent clean sound from this guitar I play when trying to strum it acoustic style, I think it sounds really good for distortion though.

Yeah, your right on about the drums, maybe I need to raise the treble a bit? When it comes to hard rock I'm starting to think that I focus too much on the deeper sounds or the kick and lose sight of the crashes/snare and high hat. There was a song I posted a few years ago that everybody liked but they just couldn't stand the sound of the crash. I was using loops at that time though, now I just program everything. Now days all I have to use are MC5 Studio Drums and I bought Session Drummer 2 when it was on sale cheap.  I really need to invest in some better sounding drum VSTI's, I can't afford it right now or probably for a while though.

    Thanks again!!

i like the energy of this...
and the crunchy guitars, dig it.
i can't hear any bass guitar tho..
i think the mix has to be done over.....
    i mean, it's subjective...
but i think the rhythm guitars are too hot....
the drums sound too mechanical, too machine like...
and that boxy snare sound, could be improved.
and of course, the bass guitar needs to be in the mix...

    all the performances are cool!
and yes, you could still easily fit the vocal on top of this,
even when the guitar is solo'rhythm'ing, ala VH, the vox just sits right on top of it..
especially during the section that strarts at 2:14...
that whole section is begging a meandering rock vocal.....
all those changes, that'd be a blast

James - Thanks, I think I got it working right. I still need to buy another one though. Thanks again

Notnat - Thanks man, really like your last song post, that sounded great!!

Batsbrew - Thanks, Sometimes when I do something like this for me it's all new territory, lot's still left to learn is what I am getting at, I appreciate all the advice you are saying here. Several things I didn't know honestly or think of. I'm thinking about redoing this one. I've got a few other things I am working on right now but when I get those done I think I will re-do this one. I just hope I can come up with more words than the title. I'm still very simple on adding vocals, I guess because I don't sing I don't know a lot about it. Thanks again.

BTW: Apologies to all for the multiple "Quote" replies, I know that's a lot to thread through rather than having everything in one message for replies. I didn't know how to do that until today. I kept clicking reply and it give me the reply screen, but I couldn't read the replies to my thread. In other words, I just realized you have to go down to the bottom of the thread to multi-reply like in this post. Sorry about that.

    Thanks again,
