Made a world of difference IMO:)

Tim, I am happy to be the first second poster.  I love all of it.  The production is spot on.  Vocal delivery is super.  Guitars and keys sparkle.  Love your voice.  This song just cruises.  The lyrics are meaningful to me personally so I really can relate to what you did.

I am playing back on my new D5's and your production is making them sing!  Thanks much.

    AWESOME surreal country ballad!!!!

Intro is extremely inviting ... and the timbres are exquisite!  Of course I'm biased toward your message so I won't extol too much there.

(On 1st listen, perhaps the lead vox deserves a half dB more loudness in the 1st half ... the 'casual sections'.  I don't know.  But things surely increment and get perfectly solid by the 2nd half.  I think you aimed for that. :):):)

I'm glad for your most excellent offering here ... it shall echo through the night!

I'm with Philip on the lead vox. The performance and production are just STELLAR. Love the way you mixed your harmonies. I'm getting a Lowen & Navorro vibe. One of my top favs from you.  KUDOS!

What a truly beautiful song. The lyrics are wonderful, the performance heart-felt and the production as good if not better than anything I have heard on this forum. And the orchestration is beyond perfection - it grabbed me in the first bar and kept me riveted to the music to the last note - and at my age my attention usually wanders after a few seconds! Kudos.

Tim, I don't know what magic you possess, but I was hooked on the first measure.  And that doesn't happen all that often.  This is just smooth and wonderful and just about perfect....everything about it.  Whatever you're doing, keep doing it.

I added it to my SC station so I'll hopefully remember to listen again.  Or maybe I'll just add your name as a Pandora station and see what happens. :)

Well, you've done it again. Another simply outstanding piece of work. This has "HIT" written all over it. After three listens the only quibble I could find was that I'd like to hear a bit more of the excellent vocals but that's really nitpicking.

I like the feel of this Tim.

All the instruments and voice seem in the right place.

In the into the electric guitar(s?) sound a tad too loud over the acoustic, IMO.

You do such a tremendous job of hitting accent notes on the guitars and keys, Tim. Makes me jealous!

The intro had a real sense about it, it really set the mood for the whole thing.

This was less country to me and more soft rock, like Poco or Ambrosia.

    Very, very good orcehstration!!!

The piano can come up half a notch. The e. guitar sounds a little furry/not sharp enough/not quite right to me- I like the lines but it is sort of cons. picous.

I think the reverb is fine when you have been listening for 15 seconds but I had been watching youtube music videos and then listebned to this and it sticks out- like everything is covered in clear oil or something.

But like someone else said - WOW, really cool, it's got a commercial feel to it.

edit after repeat listens: awesome job here Tim! The vocals are bang on. Everything sounds good- I think my first impressions were maybe faulty

    What was your recording procedure?

I had commented on this yesterday, but somehow my post is gone?!???

That happens sometimes and I can never figure out why.

This has great hook and memorable chorus and love the sentiment, which is similar to my last post (I Miss You).  I loved the song and the message.

This is a prime example of a totally pro recording in all aspects. Incredibly awesome Tim...not a single thing I'd do to this brother other than the advice Philip offered on the vocals in certain spots coming up just a hair. This is an awesome piece of work man. Safe to say God said "You're welcome" with that production man. High 5 baby! :)

Thanks Lynn. I appreciate your liking.

Hey Rimshot. Thanks bud. Glad the mix comes across.

Thanks Phiip. I'm kind of scratching my head about what you mean by the "casual sections". Do you mean the first 1/2 of the verse? What I hear is that the first line needs to come up a touch. I'm glad you're glad:)

Thanks Herb. That's interesting, (really).  Glad you liked..

Hey Mr. Reece. Thanks for the kudos. I just do what I do and hope it works:)
    Thanks.

ROBBAY.... what is Dave FM? I googled it. Is this like a famous station or something. Thanks man.

Thanks Rik. Glad you enjoyed this piece. Yes, Radio is the idea:)

Hey Radio. Glad you liked bud. I appreciate the kudos.

Thanks Kev. Yea, I'm trying to figure out exactly what you guys are talking about.
And, 1/2 db???? Really?? Glad you liked the harmonies too.

Thanks Malcomb. Glad I could hold your attention:)

Hey Janet. Thanks. LOL. No magic. I just do what I do and I've been doing it for quite a while now. geez.. Really... Forever..... And, thanks for the SC add. Cool.

Thanks a lot Mr. foxwolfen. Glad you liked. Thanks for listening.

Hey Bob. Thanks man. Yea, everyone wants louder vocals. I got it. Just a matter of getting in there to tweak it. Thanks a lot Bob. Like you're new one. I'll be over.

Thanks Baps. Sorry, I can't change the guit levels. Just ain't gonna happen. Nope, never. Can't do it. But, you're probably right.

YoYo. Thanks man. I had to go back and listen and try and figure out what "accent notes" are?? Still don't know. Bottom line is, I just play and try to keep it simple.
Yea, I was big Poco fan back when. Thanks YoYo.

Thanks trimph1. Delighted you listened and liked.

Hey Backwoods. Thanks man. The piano was tough to get where it sits now. I don't understand what you mean "guitar sounds a little furry/not sharp enough/not quite right to me". Do you mean the tone or tuning?
Oh, edit. OK. Thanks. So the guit is cool? My "recording procedure"? Geez man. If I typed that, either my fingers would fall off or the servers would crash. I'd be happy to answer any specific questions:)

     Thanks daryl1968

Hey Daryl. Sorry you had a forum snafu. I'm typing this in notepad and usually do that most of the time just in case. Glad you liked it man. Thanks. And yes, I think hearing your tune prompted me to post this:)
There is a similiar message. I really like those lyrics.

Hey Joshua. OK, what the frig is an accent lick?????????
    Thanks man.

Hey Mr. Frank. Thanks man. Glad it comes across. It's been a tough one:)

Thanks Bruce. 'Box of chocolates huh? OK. LOL. Thanks man. Yea, I like lots of different stuff I guess. It's kind of a curse actually. Thanks for the kind words Bruce.

Thanks Kenny. Yea, she likes this one. Thanks for detailing so nicely what you heard. Glad you liked it and you got the movement.

    Thanks Mr. Swamptooth. appreciate it.

Hey jsaras. Thanks a lot man.

Hey Danny. Thanks man. Glad it works on your ears. that means a lot.Yea, this one was/is a figgity bugger. Glad you stopped by. I'm gonna tweak the vocs when I get a chance. Thanks man.
