What do you mean it won't run? Do you mean it won't open at all?

Go to Control Panel > Computer Management > Storage > Disk Management and you can change drive letter assignments. Start by assigning the new DVD drive to an unused letter higher up to free up D: to re-assign to your 2nd HDD.

There's no reason that should have happened...I would suggest unistalling/reinstalling SONAR...THe only thing that actually changed was the location of your project/wav/bundle data...That's easily reassigned in SONAR...

Yea, when you add a new drive to your pc, you need to make sure it does NOt replace an existing drive letter. you need to make sure its makes a new one

As gwp99 said. You can do that through the Control Panel> Administration Tools>Computer Management>Storage>Disk management

    [deep breath]
right click on the appropriate ROM drive and change it's drive letter.

That Control Panel path works for Vista and should be similar for Win7

Nah this is totally easy to solve. Worst case is you google "change drive letter".

Oh wait, I just did it.

The only nag you may have to do is temporarily change the burner to something else to "park" it whilst you change your other drive, then complete the process (ie, switching drive letters). But still, not rocket science.

It seems like you've solved your problem BUT:

It seems very unusual that SONAR should react this way unless some of the installation files were on that other drive.

By default SONAR wants to install everything to your C: drive so in case you changed something this seemingly resolved problem may come back to bite you in other ways.

I'd have a close look at where all my SONAR associated files are ie besides the project and other audio files. Perhaps you have your picture cache Folder on that external drive and that was the issue. Picture Cache folder should always be on the same drive as your SONAR program.
