I am seriously, really surprised..

..I've refrained from asking but I really get
the feeling (from listening) to people that they
do want the world to end. ( they believe that's what the calendar means)
I am referring to people I'm around at work and such.

I've been thinking that they think they will make it and have
a better life because there won't be so many...I think that's because
they just don't seem to care for people that aren't like them.
Just weird to me but...I get paid to be around them :)

Yeah... lots of selfish jerks think they're going to be rewarded or some crap at the end of it all and are egging it on. It makes trying to enjoy our current plain of existence very difficult and frustrating.

This reminds me of the last time the world ended.  It was immediately replaced with a look alike and everybody else acted like they couldn't tell the difference.

(Feel free to insert a Stephen Wright joke here...)

Seriously, though, after the 21st, you could try pretending you can't see them anymore.  See if you can convince them that they're already gone.

How shall I put this nicely?

It wouldn't surprise me if people prone to believing in this "the world is going to end!" kind of stuff weren't also prone to having other (completely unnecessary) problems in their life - on top of all the normal problems all of us have.

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

I do find it interesting that NASA just reported finding a very large asteroid very close and heading for a possible near miss with Earth though...

Of course, I just made all of that up but I'm sure someone will probably believe it!

Well... if you want MY opinion on this.... and even if you don't..... too bad... because you know I have one.

I personally do not think it's gonna end on Friday.... at least I hope not...I'll be 250 miles from home and that is one heck of a long way to walk if everything goes to hades..... form say a solar flare or an EMP of some sort.

On the other hand.... if I can make it home before the end comes..... let it come.... it would be nice to have no phone and internet for a while..... no electricity though could be a problem.... but I'm ready to rock no matter what comes or doesn't come.... locked and loaded...waiting to see.

See you all on Saturday..... maybe.

Well one thing for sure about 12-21-2012....it's on a Friday and I start my vacation.
I don't have to deal with the clock until the 3rd day in 2013.

As I'm currently putting an oil finish on my new build I imagine that during my time-off
I will be wiring and doing the final set-up and get to hear my hand-wound P-90s!
I'll also be starting on my next Tele style...and hopefully get to keep it and record something with it!

So..if by chance it's all over, I'll be at least leaving doing something I love and without a care in the world.

Kinda strange but for some reason out of all the stuff I've heard, read and seen I've been
left with the strong urge to build a boat. I'm serious. I'm serously considering building a
a cabin type cruiser. May never do it but that is really all that I've gotten out of the calendar trip. That's strange to me 'cause I'm fine with just fishin' of the bank.

I recommend that everyone max out their credit just in case. IF the world ends... you won't have to pay the bill, if the world does not end we will have stimulated the economy, roight? A win/win!!

I just want to finish the second season of Homeland... I dn't think I am going to make it. I will need to put the "end" on pause for a few days. Will that be OK?

I hate painting so I try to get mine to do it...she
doesn't mind but between her not being very good at it and

Remarkably similar story here... but, we have worked through all that.

Our goal this next week is to use all the team work skills we developed on the remodel to slam out some cabinetry.

Plus we might jam a bit. Last night she played her bass through the SVT while I beat on the drum kit... just 3 songs for fun.

    :-)

    Good times.
