I apologize

A month ago or so I was having a problem with "popping" like on a vinyl record when I did playback(on all audio).  A few guys gave me some ideas of what to do, one pushed the latency thing and I believe that's what it ended up being.  I played with that and did a few other things which I am not sure what they are.  Duh.  I wanted to apologize for not getting up her to thank these folks for taking the time to help me.  After I posted I got that stinkin' flu and was down over 3 weeks.  it was miserable.  Anyway, if you know who you are (I know Psalmist35/Rich was one) I thank you for the time you took for me and wanted to let you know that it is fixed and the only thing I can attribute it to is latency.  The strange thing is the setting is back where I started.  So......THANKS!

Folks, please get the flu shot if you can afford it. Too many people are getting seriously ill and even dying from the flu these days. I got mine at the local CVS Pharmacy. Well worth it especially since my healthcare benefits paid 100% of the cost.

DaveNY, I did get a flu shot around Oct or Nov.  The VA calls and reminds you it's time.  For a veteran, you just walk in tell them your name and ss# and they stick you.  The problem is that it only has a 60% effectiveness, according to a couple different news organizations.  It's better than no effectiveness!   I get them every year because it has stopped any major infection for a lot of years.  This is the first time in probably 10 or 11 years where I've had the body aches, fever and hacking.  It's an inconvenience but they took xrays and blood and say that there is nothing major causing it, just the flu.  You are right, though, they said this is the worst flu in years.  I wouldn't have worried except that it went away, I started exercising again and in 4 days it was back with a vengeance.  I know,  CALL A WAAAHMBULANCE. LOL.  Thanks again, guys!

Sometimes, maybe because a plug in was added, or something else, or sometimes randomly, the pops will start in, and if you did as you did, adjust latency, press o, and then go back and then put it right back where it was, the pops go away away, just as you experienced.

    Glad you solved it.

Sorry to hear you got the flu Warren.  Bummer.

I seem to be a healthy mother and seldom get sick.  Right now I'm surrounded by infected people (my boy is home today).  So I never get a flu shot, since they aren't that effective and can cause the flu.  Of course, if I got sick more often I might change my tune.

Hopefully this year's flu season has run its course and we all can have the strength to fix our pops and then thank others who helped.  Nice touch, Warren.

flew shot is over rated, the flu only hosts the weak anyway.
i havent got a flew shot in 6 years, you know how many times ive had the flew?
6 less times than ive have the shot...none !
    zero!

i'll stick with the vitams and cakewalk flakes.

i only advise the elderly and young children to get the shot.

A little known fact is that most of us are zinc deficient to some extent! And zinc is essential for a healthy immune system as well as many other things. There is something to be said for taking a good quality zinc supplement every day. I add a liquid zinc supplement to my daily protein shake. Two other supplements worth taking for increased immunity are L-Glutamine and L-Lysine. You will be less susceptible to colds and flu if you take these things on a regular basis.

It's also worth investing in on of the green powder "superfoods" like Green Vibrance. It's not exactly cheap, but a couple of teaspoons a day in some water (or your shake) does wonders for your general health and immunity.

Also very important to avoid working out until you're 100% better. Your immunity temporarily decreases during a workout and leaves you open to airborne viruses, as well as the risk of the virus you're almost over coming back with a vengeance.

I used to work with this tiny little gal, she was rary rary preasant to rerk riv.

She was always taking this and that supplement, drinking that fungus crap. Oh God it was awful.

There I was, 6'3", 350lb's, exercised maybe 20 minutes in my entire life all totaled, ate McDonalds every day ... I think in 20 years, I took 3 sick days? She was sick constantly. Always had a cold, going to the doctor, running her kid to the doctor because it woke up at 6:31 instead of 6:30.

Had an aunt,, drank a gallon of whiskey and a case of beer every week and lived off government cheese and butter sandwiches, she lived to be 91, and would have lived longer but she had to start dialysis (at 91) and didn't want to do it.

My grandmother is 99 ... never been to the doctor except for checkups. Doesn't take any medication. Lives by herself on a 3rd floor apartment. Does her own shopping, cooking, cleaning.

All the women on my wife's side of the family have died from, had, or still have, cancer.

It's all gene's and mental state I believe.

You can suck fungus juice till you're green in the gills like that gal I knew, but it's not gonna add a single second to your life.

    YMMV.
