I broke my Time Machine
Well, one of me did, anyway. I was running the Bubba's Most Humiliating Moments tour when it happened. It's always been a guaranteed money maker. There are so many things to see that there's always something for everyone. Obviously, some of the major events are in higher demand than others. My past and future selves often join the tour to experience some of those truly horrific moments. For some, it's an awkward reminder of idiotic decisions. For others, it's a depressing glimpse into the inevitability of future stupidity. Some of my selves have gone on this particular tour for many years. Sometimes, I think that I would choose to vacation during some of the good times, but it appears that I usually don't. Anyway, I had a larger than usual crowd of Bubbas in my time machine. In retrospect, I knew that I was probably over the weight limit for the time machine, but I assumed my future selves would let me know if I was doing something stupid. Unfortunately, they did not. We skipped over a particularly terrible high school experience and ended up crashing into a "We Hate Bubba" rally held at a local Ramada Inn. On the positive side, we landed near the buffet. My past selves got all uppity and demanded refunds. My future selves pointed at me, laughed hysterically, and then attempted (and failed) to high five one another. It appears they got to visit a humiliating moment after all. I got some duct tape and baling wire, but I still haven't been able to fix the machine. I tried to explain this to some coworkers today, but they pointed out that I can't keep crawling into a cardboard box at my desk for a few hours each day to avoid meetings. They said that just because I wrote, "Time Machine" on the box, that doesn't make it real. I'm off to shipping to see if I can get a new time machine before my meetings this afternoon.

Obviously, your co-workers are just oblivious in recognizing your state of inertia and won't ever understand the complexity fixing the time machine. How was the buffet?

The buffet was great. One of me hogged a big plate of mac 'n' cheese, so things got a little ugly for a moment. We got there just as a fresh platter of becan was brought out, so that went pretty quickly. The little becan cheeseburgers were good with some BBQ sauce. I don't know why that had such a huge vat of refried beans, but each of me were glad that they did. I thought that the keynote speaker was a bit harsh, but I found myselves agreeing with him most of the time. I hope they invite me back to speak again next year.

Coincidentally.... I went back to the 18th century in a time machine yesterday. I say a 'time machine'... It was actually the 9.39 express from Worcester Shrubhill to Norwich. Sorry Karl

I just watched an incredibly dull documentary on how to build a time machine... There's an hour I'll get back.

I had a friend claim that he had invented an anti-gravity device and invited me over to watch his first test. When I got there, he got in the device, flipped a switch and shot into space. Nobody's heard from him since...

Funny! The Time Machine was fixed ages ago and now I want to borrow it; Because I want to go to the future and buy a Sports Almanac, then return to my time and place a few bets.... 'I can't lose' :P (inspired by the movie: Back To The Future Pt.2)

I just want to make sure that I don't confuse "Time Machine" with "Time Capsule." I think I've learned that lesson by now. The last time, I was buried in a field for a decade. I don't mean to complain, you understand. I'm just as fond of cryogenic suspension as anyone else. It's just not as comfy as they make it look in the brochure. It's freezing in there. Also, some prankster put on Kenny G. just before sealing me in. That's not funny. Fortunately, reality had been taped, so I was able to rewind it and watch while skipping all of the commercials.
