Whenever I see a body with thin protrusions like that (which is actually not uncommon on basses) I always think, "it's going to break off somehow!".

The wood is the cheapest part of building a guitar. The Floyd that puppy is routed for would get you many guitar bodies. Wood, $200 Hardware, $400 Labour, $xxxxx Building your own, Priceless.
