I can't find controller handles

I just loaded the latest quickfix (build 246) and i also loaded one of Panu's Sonarmod skins.  Everything looks and works fine,  until I was doing some midi editing and i noticed i no longer had controller handles.  I've check the box "Show Controller Handles" ,  but I do not see them anymore.
 
Did something happen to the Controller Handles?  Or am I just not doing something correctly?
