I couldn't take another

nerve twisting session with X2a last night so
I watched my new DVD Blu-ray of a concert for George Harrison.

Man...more than once I fought back the tears but what a great concert it was.
I enjoyed every single minute of it. What a pleasure to see his son, Ringo and Paul playing.

If you haven't seen it I'd sure suggest it.

I saw that a while back, good stuff. Dhani Harrison is spookily similar to his father isn't he?

Paul stated that with Dhani there it seemed like George got younger
and everybody else got old. :)

Not like those easy days of tape bias, alignment and head cleaning, eh?

Oh yeah and patch cables breaking.

And not having the right adapter for that new piece of gear that you got for that session happening NOW!!!!!

And splicing tape, yeah I miss that.

I got Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock DVD that I need to watch.

LOL, dropping the pick in the soundhole....I've done them all but
digital quirks just rattle me. With analog I at least felt I had a fighting chance.

Between building, pups and updates....I'm sure due some movie/concert catching up.

Oh....I got the pup kits for a 5 string...now I just have to learn about the specifics.

Is that the concert that ends with While My Guitar Gently Weeps?  The one where Prince just kills the lead and Dhani ends up staring at him in wonder?

Nope - just checked.  It's from George's induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in 2004.

    See it HERE.

(My favorite Beatles song too - FWIW.)

I love that DVD too. Firstly isn't it amazing when you realise how many Beatles tunes George wrote!!! I love all the indian stuff at the start that is just so good! Also that concert is a fantastic demonstration too of PA or mix changeovers with all those bands without a hitch. A few sound engineers could learn a thing or two about that.
