What I like about the original and many other vids of the time is that band members could look like complete dweebs and act tough in the video and nobody cared and it wasn't considered "ironic" or a joke or anything like that. I mean sure the singer was probably a draw for the ladies but look at the rest of that band - a bunch of Fortran programmers on their lunch break. I'm not sure they would even allow that imagery now, it would upset the artistic sensitivities of Millennials who have been raised on a diet of digitally enhanced mannequins who have been carefully selected for their sterility and blandness. Back in the day, anyone could be in hit band, didn't matter how thick their glasses were. Just stick them in a leather jacket and away we go.

That's kinda what I looked like when I was programming Fortran... (but I dressed up for music gigs!).
Time for all of you to head over to Beyond My DAW!

Love how the guy with the glasses just cannot 'stride' properly and has to look at the ground. He's me, he is.

Another great minor key rock song from the same era I loved as a kid was I Surrender by Rainbow. I know they got a lot of stick for going more commercial in the 80's but I thought this song was the bees knees when I was 8. I also thought they looked way cool in the video. I bet Ron Airey was like: "Guys, I'm not doing the vid unless I can wear my new red jacket, that's final." Pure early 80's.

sharke I think I was 9 or 10 when this came out. And at that time I was absolutely besotted with Back In Black.
I became obsessed with Bon Scott era AC/DC around that age (and still am) but he had been dead and gone for many years before I first caught a wiff of Jailbreak/Dirty Deeds. Unsurprisingly right about the time my [REDACTED]s were starting to drop. Dude just literally oooooozed everything cool back then... and is still one of the coolest rockers to ever grace this silly hunk of... uh... rock, of ours IMO.
Dead and Gone? Great tune!
