I finally have a song online!!

Hey guys,

I just got a website set up on motagator, and have just uploaded a song. Its a quick and simple jam, using mostly free synths. String Theory's on the arpeggiations, Triangle II's doing the first lead, and drums are NSKit Rock into DR-008 through a single compressor and (If I remember right) a touch of verb. Guitar is American Deluxe Strat into PODXT Live into Lexicon Pantheon Verb, & Sonitus Delay. Final mix had Sonitus gate (for the beginning quiet part) PlParEQ3 (with one low-mid cut and high boosting), Sonitus Multiband Compression, and the W1 limiter. Piano is TTS-1 if I remember right... I'm waiting for it to upload... this is boring... when it uploads, I shall edit in the link.

Joe

EDIT: Finally! Song Its improv in G minor.

Listening to it as i write, The sounds are crisp and clean and they seem to have there own place in the mix, the guitar is perfect, spot on lead, it has a nice bite and sits in the mix properly. The drums sounds are solid, the only instrument i did not particualrly like was the bass it does not have the punch this song called for. was it a synth bass? i would love to hear a good old fashioned four string sample for that like the ns bass patches or something. The effects are very nicely done. Overall a great body of work, keep it up and let us know as they are posted.

Thanks for the quick reply! It's been so long since I did the bass, I really can't remember which one I used. I'm guessing it was just a regular P-bass clone with flatwounds on it. I may replace that track with my jazz bass or just put some edge on it somehow. Thanks for the kind words!

Nice job Joe. I liked the guitar coming in around 1:25 I think it was--whatever effects you were using on there.

You said you used synths on there. Synth effects on the guitar or piano?

I was wondering whether you can apply the synths in Music Creator 2 to say vocals or guitar? Maybe you can only play them through a MIDI controller or keyboard though. That would be cool to hear jazz sounds on vocals or whatnot....

I was using soft synths played with my MIDI controller, all live, no sequencing. I used DX and VST effects on everything. Thanks for the kind words.

btw guys, I have been on a huge dry spell musically, and am just getting into the flow of things. If someone wants to collab, I'd be more than happy to submit guit/drums/synth, whatever. Just drop me an email at joeh20_444 @ yahoo . com (i spaced it to avoid spam emails). Just let me know.

    Hey joe,

I wouldn't mind doing some collaborating. I sent an email to you, but it may go to your spam area--might want to check there. When I sent it--it just combined everything and took out the spaces it looked like.
