I finally listened to an IK_MUltimedia iLoud

We were in the big city and I saw one on display at the music stuff store. My nephew hooked up with bluetooth and we played back a few songs.

It was everything I expected and far less than I have hoped for.

They should call it the iMud.

That's my review.

    I like mine.
I use it outside on a screened porch to stream Spotify from my phone. It works great for that. No, it isn't an audiophile HIFI system but is great for an evening on the porch or listening to something while changing the oil or washing the truck. For the way I use it I don't require anything more, it works well for my use.
I REALLY wish they would make a box to enable me to use two in stereo. There is another small Class D Bluetooth amp but it uses passive speakers and they aren't wireless (not IK).

I purchased one, on sale, a few weeks back and for the price/size it isn't that bad. It does sound somewhat better when you are using it wired vs. bluetooth. It still does not take too much to drive it into distortion but that could be a Cool thing when required.

At half the asking price, and then on sale, it would be a much better value...

    Purrrfect Audio DAW here.  Wow!...

I find it amusing that what is happening is the re packaging of the good ol' ghetto blaster.
A plastic speaker box.  But what is actually sort of sick, is they don't even have to bother with most of the components anymore yet they are charging 3x or even 6 x the price of a classic ghetto.
How much do you think a Bluetooth receiver costs the Chinese? Right, $5 or so.

So take a $25-$75  ghetto blaster, remove the radio, CD, iPad dock and the USB port... put a bluetooth receiver in there and sell it for $150 to $300. Brilliant!

It's like the Dollar store headphones. I paid $10 for a nice looking, actually great sounding set the other day. They have no markings on them.. That's because across the street at The Source,, (Radio shack) they sell them along with those "Beatz" for $100 plus. Same phones but with a "brand" name printed on them.

Is there actually "stereo' stores out there anymore?
Just make sure your studio includes at least one set of plastic speakers so you can proof your mixes on a real world system.
