I finaly did it!!!!!!

First off thank you to everyone. Beagle, Guitarhacker, 57Gregy, Nutty and Mama Bear you have all been very kind and helpful and I would have been lost without your help. This is my first attempt to write and record something so please be kind, although I want honest opinions. I know it still needs work and there are a few klunkers that need fixed. I still don't know how to use MC4 to edit and mix so all I did was record the tracks and adjust the volume. maybe some of you can give me pointers on fixing the audio problems. I'm afraid theres nothing that will fix my guitar playing LOL! Anyway it's called Redemption and I wrote it as a sound track for a video montage of our mission trips. http://www.soundclick.com/StainedGlassStudio

Sounds great! Wait a go. Keep at it and you'll discover new things each time you use MC. I've been using it for 2 1/2 years now and still find new ways of doing something, all the while having fun!

Very nice tune Mock. This is excellent for a first piece. Way to go, I'm envious of your guitar playing.

    Keep them coming!

    Hi there James

Wow - for a first go this is something else!

I love the tone that's just dripping out of your rythym guitar - nice and thick.

    Keep up the good work

    Steve

You know Nutty guitar wise we are not that far apart, I listened to your latest version of Our Blessed Mother and the guitars sound great. I was pretty much a strummer untill about a year ago. then I just started playing around with the pentationic scales and adding a little blues feel to it and away you go.

Thanks Steve, Yeah the rythum guitar came out pretty ok I thought also. It was the only track I got right on the first take. My RP 80 makes it easy. My lead playing on the other hand is shaky at best and it is a little thin sounding but I will keep trying.

Oh you are kind Mock, but I'm definately a year behind you..just starting. I seem to have a hard time playing outside of the chard. Hard to explain, but I seem to stick to the 4 strings and thats it, instead of play maybe two beats on one chord and two on the next. It like not going outside the box or not being able to play outside the beat. It's frustrating for me cause I want to do this so bad. But I'm going to still play around and hopefully someday it will click. I'm also not a big lover of a lot of distortion, so my playing would have to be real good!

    Thanks.

I have played guitars for 35 years, but really nothing more than strumming along with a tune, plus a three year stint as the rhythm player in a garage band. Now i fiddle with a few basic leads just to learn a bit, and record a bit as well. All in all a butt load of fun.

I'd Seize the day but i can't quite reach it!
