I forgot. what was the last version of sonar before X1? 8.5?

I forgot what the last version of sonar was before X1.  Was 8.5 a free upgrade or did it have to be purchased?  I have 8.3.1.372.  Is 8.5 still available? I don't know if I am ready to go to X1 yet.  I think going to Windows 7 64 bit is a better option now until the bugs get worked out of X1

    8.5 was not a free update, it's a real upgrade with a price tag and several new features. I don't know if you can still buy it.

    SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

    8.5 is no longer available. 

    Windows 7 is definitely worth it. Then you can wait until X whatever, even though X1 is working fine for me.

    OK  thanks.  Win 7 64 bit it is then.  actually 8.3 works pretty well for me.  does 8.5 have any big improvemnets from that?

    Just move the mouse up a little bit on the main forum page and you would find 8.53 info... Part1 and/or Part2 




    FWIW - I really liked 8.53 and now, X1 is my favorite go-to daw.

    8.3 will give you problems with Windows 7 in certain situations if you use Bundles. If you don't use Bundles you should be OK.
