I found my Secret Weapon!!!
I never thought of this before. I always drink my coffee black. No cream and no sugar. No flavored coffee either. Just coffee. Anyway, my wife can't stand black coffee. She always uses lots of cream. Due to this abomination we call a "Diet", however, we can't have dairy products. She's gone 3 days now without coffee as a result. Oh yes. I guzzle down a large mug of coffee in front of her and wax rhapsodic about the rich flavor and effervescent aroma. Not to be selfish, I offer to let her inhale my steaming mug of life-giving elixir. She's now starting to say, "I can live without meat easier than I can without dairy". I just slowly drink my coffee, sigh contentedly, and ask, "How's your thistle juice?" This led to a concession that, perhaps a small amount of dairy products might be acceptable. I said, "How small?" Not wanting to paint herself in a corner, she replied, "Within reason". I said, "So, hypothetically, if I were to eat my own weight in cheese in a single day, that might be considered to be 'Too Much'." She sighed and cautiously agreed. "So", I continued in a very reasonable manner, "Eating less than my own weight in cheese in a single day would be less than that. Okay. I'll settle for that level." She seemed to think my logic was fundamentally flawed. The jury is still out on the potential quantity of this controlled substance, but indications are hopeful that I may at least regain my cheese. Becan will take a little more work.

yeah...I kind of feel for you here...the vegan trip os a little too much right from the get go...I know a couple of vegans here who did not think that was a particularly useful approach to diet concerns...

My policy is "never deny cheese to someone holding a gun, even if they have to lay down to shoot." It's a rather wordy policy, but I think it works.

She seemed to think my logic was fundamentally flawed. The jury is still out on the potential quantity of this controlled substance, but indications are hopeful that I may at least regain my cheese. Becan will take a little more work. I dunno man, I'm a firm believer of "everything in moderation" and if you both could find the time to do a little cardio or light weight training, you're diet will not only be more successful, but you'll actually be able to eat/drink things in moderation. Couldn't she use a non-dairy creamer in her coffee? That's what I use here and to be honest, I'd never go back to milk or heavy cream. Watch the sugar intake, keep things under 150 grams if you can, no fried foods, and if you get hungry, you can eat all the Angel food cake you want...well almost. LOL! But it's pretty harmless. Try to cut out soda and drink plenty of water to flush your system. You can also look into herbal GH products that speed up your metab a bit which will burn fat. The GH products put stuff back into your body that you haven't had since you were 17. Remember when you could go out and play with your friends for 6-8 hours, come in and have dinner and then run back outside again? Do that now and you'll probably pass out after dinner, right? Hahaha! The Herbal GH stuff puts that stuff you lost back into your body and it's healthy for you. Definitely do a good multi vitamin as well. I actually take loads of suppliments these days, but only the stuff that works. My father had pneumonia as a baby when he was 6 months old. They believe having it that young broke down his immune system. He just turned 76. He's sick at least once per month in the winter. I got him on the suppliments I take as well as a good diet and he's not been sick in nearly 4 years and has lost body fat and 8 lbs. He feels fantastic and works a day job 5 days per week as a maintenance supervisor at a college. Yeah I know....I probably took this post way too serious but I figured I'd chime in. I did some college for physical training etc....if you have any questions or anything, feel free to let me know. Half of the stuff you read today is all myths....even the crap about carbs. If you burn the fat and don't over-do anything, you can eat whoever or whatever you want and never worry unless of course you're in the obese category. But 30 mins on a treadmill will do wonders if you can do that. It takes 20 mins to get to where the fat is stored, so you're just burning cals for the first 20 mins. From 20 mins on, you're burning fat. Increase to 45 mins than an hour, and watch your body change in a month's time...I promise you. Pick a sit-com or something you like to watch, and the treadmill experience flies by in what feels like seconds. You'll also kick your metab back in as well as improve all aspects of life...even your sex life. It's amazing what a decent diet, some cardio and a few suppliments can do to the human body. Best of luck to you and your wife. :)

My secret weapon is still classified. Even I'm not sure that it actually exists.

The fact hunt should end right there.

I've also been doing some research and I've come to the conclusion it is too expensive to disagree with The Bouy Ltd. or even to agree, but that's life I guess.

mike_mccue Have you ever wondered why cheese costs more than steak? Because it's easier to hack bits out of a cow than it is to keep feeding one, milking it and processing the output... Yes? No? Maybe?
