I got high gain... why does everything seem fuzzy?

There must be a technical reason... like the stars are aligned or sumthin.

    Can some trim fix this? Or is that just an aeronautical term?

    Turn the gain down, and double track. Less fuzz, more crunch.

    back off your mids a bit too. i don't like the typical fuzzface/big muff gain much myself. sounds like your speaker has been slashed (which is how they used to do it of course), or the input itself is distorted.  maybe try a clean amp setting with a decent distortion pedal eg mesa boogie v-twin, hughes and kettner warp factor.
