I just bought Cubase Elements 9.0/Mixcraft 8 ....

reason being Cubase 9.5 system requirements state that a i5 or greater processor is required. 
 
The 9.0 doesn't have that requirement. 
 
You see I'm running an i3 processor in my computer and I have to have software that is compatible with that. 
 
The Elements 9.0 program will do everything that I need for $99 bucks. I already have a dongle so I don't think I need it. I looked at Pro Tools First, but it also requires a i5 processor, I looked at Reaper, Studio One, and Cubase....Cubase Elements seem to be the best choice for me and my computer. I wanted to buy it while it's still available because I don't want to buy a new computer to keep up with the newer system requirements. Plus it was only $99 bucks, I can't go too far wrong with that. That'll make a nice replacement for Sonar.

    Currently, you can purchase Mixcraft 8 Pro Studio for $99.  Look at the respective feature sets and decide if Cubase, the dongle control, and the upgrade to the real DAW is a justified expense.

    Cubase Elements has the features I need. I already have a dongle, and I'm not planning on upgrading because I don't need all the bells and whistles of the full version. I don't want a large learning curve to deal with, I'm looking for a basic simple setup, that'll record audio and midi. Elements will do this for $99 bucks.

    Thanks for the tip. I checked it out and loved it at first sight. I bought the pro version and am downloading it right now.
