I just bought my song for $0.99... does that make me shallow?

I have tried cdBaby's digital distribution service this month and it's time to approve all my info just before everything gets locked and sent off to the cloud.

It seemed like I should buy a copy off of the cdBaby site just to make sure that it sounded like the song I sent in. :-)

Luckily I had some money at paypal from some stuff I sold on ebay.

Funny thing is, it sounds a lot better when you pay the $0.99 for it.

I guess I must be that shallow. :-)

That sounds like a good idea Mike...   however, I don't have enough money to make any of my songs sound better

No, you're not shallow.  It's quality control.  Now if Bapu did it...

...it would somehow become a shameless plug.

Hi,

An old friend from Australia, was a psychic, and he used to say some funny things and one of them was that when you paid for something, the more you pay for it, the more you appreciate it and take care of it.

Oppppssss ... there went my girlfriend!

On the other side, a couple of folks on this Forum have been offered some money for some help, and they weren't interested. I'm still figuring out the semantics and the astrophysical design of that!

I think that is known throughout the world as the "Buoy Ltd." effect.

I think it's always a good idea to check the process and the merchandise to be sure everything is working correctly.

Better for you to find out than to have a bunch of angry customers emailing you because the store either didn't work right or the song has sound quality issues you were unaware of.

Now you know.... and you just made a sale.

McQ,

You lose on the piece price but if you buy enough you'll make it up in volume.

Tell him I have a self imposed deadline defined by the fact that I am going on the road in a couple hours, for a few days, and that I want to tie up some loose ends before I do so.

Also, tell him I think he's real smart and stuff.

Shouldn't you spend another $0.99 on a second copy so you can listen to it in stereo?

I'm shallow to begin with.

Think of the money I'll save!

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

It's only shallow if you eBay your 99 cent version and charge 1.99 for it as a limited edition individually signed by the author edition.
