I just need Someone to Blame

https://soundcloud.com/m_glenn_m/someone-to-blame-aug014

cuz we all need someone.
(V1)My reputation
Left town with my luck
I'm at the station
begging for bucks
Cuz I got my problems
Oh yeah I can see
I need someone to blame
And I know it won't be me.
(V2)-My life is in turmoil
The back of the line
Bumper to bumper
I'm always behind
My credit card Crisis
Is all that I own
Feel I'm crawling thru brambles
Swimming like a stone
Chorus
(A)Lord I need someone
Someone to blame(E)
Got to have someone
Someone to blame
(A)Please send me someone
(C)Got to have someone
to blame(E)
(V3) Finished this evening
Charged with assault
But the officer started it
wasn't my fault
It's not my fault
I'm not to blame
Stop picking on me
Stop yanking my chain
Chorus
(V4) Could be the Christians
Could be the Jews
Maybe the Muslims
Maybe it's you
You're all holding me back
You're all in my way
You could be my friend
If you do what I say.
Chorus x 2

I quite enjoyed your tune the mix sounds reasonable here though it does come across a little like it was recoded on perhaps one or two mic's in club or bar.

Welcome to the forum.  I enjoyed this song and my feet were tapping along.  The mix sounds big and open with a throbbing bass line.  The vocal and harmonica are well performed, and the acoustic sounds sweet.  This song deserves a few more listens, but, all in all, nice job!

    All the best,

Liking this, upbeat and tongue-in-cheek, good stuff! Nice little touches, like that harmonica/bass run before the first chorus, that's sweet. Very refreshing sound, look forward to hearing more from you.

This sounds great to me! Has that Loggins and Messina vibe. Great performances here as well.

This number has a great airy feel to it while juxtaposed with some great "cheeky" lyrics.
    Great work!

Nice bit of tunage there! I see the Loggins comment but my first impression was Paul Simon.

I think the bass is a bit to loud, or needs rolled off a bit. Maybe subjective but there it is. Other than that, great mix!

The song is great and the arrangement is really cool.   Maybe a little more refinement on the ending...

    I really enjoyed listening!

    Thanks guys, it's appreciated.
I'll check the bass. It's possible my age is rolling off the bass (I know it's rolling off the top-I'm down to about 8K now) and I'm compensating.
    Thanks for the heads up.

I'm definitely likin this.  Nice harp sound and vocal harmonies.  It's all good.  Nice songwriting too.

Nice song! Inventive bass playing, great use of slightly odd percussion (for the genre). Harmony vox right on, in a good, ragged way. Harp is a little tentative - I wanted it to strut more. I wonder if the whole thing might be speeded up a little?
