I just noticed something in X2a 64bit
There are a few 32bit softsynths installed with X2 64bit. I was curious if softsynths are bridged like 32bit plugins are. I know people have posted issues bridging 32 bit plugs and wondered if issues can occur with these 32 bit softsynths.

Yes they are Bitbridged. When people have problems with Bitgridged plugins its invariably due to odd third party plugins.

The 32bit VST's provided by Cakewalk can give you trouble as well. I know some of them are 3rd party, even though they are provided by Cakewalk. One that comes to mind is that VC-64 Vintage Channel. It's a nice little VST, but there's a lot crammed in to it, and it's too hard for me to see, so I don't use it. Sound Center is 32bit and I use it a lot. I don't know if you saw my post about Bitbridge, but I stumbled on to something you can try if you run in to any problems. There's two ways you can do this ... go to the 'Shared Components/Shared Utilities' folder and find the Bitbridge.exe, or go in to Task Manager when a 32bit VST is running. In either case, Right Click on bitbridge.exe and set it to run in Admin mode. I was having some trouble with Sound Center, so I set Bitbridge to run in Compatibility Mode XP SP2. I haven't had a hiccup since. I also saw a post by another forum member that said he starts the Bitbridge.exe file before he runs Sonar. I haven't tried that, but it can't hurt. That's all if you run in to problems. For the most part the Bitbridged stuff works good, but you'll know it when it doesn't. The other thing I do is freeze the tracks with a Bitbridged VST/VSTi on them, then go in to Task Manager and make sure it's gone from the program list. You'll see a 'Teleport Server' error message and/or a 'Bitbridge fault' error of some kind if you do have troubles with it, but it's not too often that happens.

BTW... who are you and what did you do with Bub?

From what I have read JBridge is the way to go as far as getting 32 bit plugs to work correctly on the 64 bit platform...I am kinda new to this myself and plan on checking this today after work. I don't have an answer as to what the differences are between the "bridges", though...maybe someone can go into some detail about this...
