Mix sounds OK to me. Vocal is fine, except for those constant sharp intakes of breath - which may be just part of your style - but they were distracting for me.

Musically it's OK but fairly bland, it's stays the same throughout really, you could do a little more to add interest to the arrangement I think, add and subtract things, counter melodies, breakdowns etc.

It sounds very good but could use a little something Møre like James said. Mix was good also. Please don't return the comment favor on my current tune because I hope it Falls to page 2 so I can send another tune. Your singing was very good also. Not boring.

Your voice sounds fine...But a lot depends on what you are looking for. Also, as noted above, you might want to put a volume envelope on the vocal line and spike it down at the sharp breath intakes. The tune is good. Do some experimentation with panning, effects and volume to add more interest if you feel it needs it. I think it might benefit with spreading the instruments out a bit. Right now, everything seems somewhat toward center. Try moving the latin percussion to the edges a bit more.

How many guitar parts are there? How are they panned?

Mix sounds good to me.  Couldn't understand a word you said, but I don't speak Spanish. Just Kidding! The vocals sounded fine to me and the breath sounds didn't bother me personally . The song IMHO could use a chorus with a different chord structure or something along those lines to break it up a little and help keep the listeners attention. Overall though it sounds good.

Vocals sounded good to me.  If they don't to you they can always be retracked.  However, keep in mind that when we record our own vocals we become very vulnerable to our inner criticism.  Just about every singer I've ever worked with struggle with hearing their vocals the 1st, 2nd, 5th time through the recording.  Those who didn't either hid it well or were super cocky.

I agree that the breaths could be at least minimized.  There is actually a very relevant thread Ive been following that might be worth a read. http://forum.cakewalk.com/removing-space-between-vocal-lines-m3361072.aspx#3361564

Otherwise, I thought you did good work here!  Thanks for sharing!

I agree with the comments above - the overall mix and vocal performance sounds just fine.    A little editing to minimize just the more obvious breaths should help clean things up, and perhaps pan the percussion a bit more just for clarity.     Oh, and it needs an ending.

I think it's quite nice.

You could liven it up by adding backing vocals here and there. I think choir style would work really well. As an example look up Foreigner's "I want to know what love it". At the end, they use a choir and it works very well. I think that's what this song needs as it sounds to have an epic quality to it.

Notation, the original DAW. Everything else is just rote. We are who we are and no more than another. Humans, you people are crazy.

hi drma,
you've done a pretty good job here!  the vocals are high passed pretty heavily, if that's what you want, then OK, but I'd like to hear a little bit more of the lower harmonics on them.  pretty nice balance on vocals and instruments.
