I need some help on this song
Could I get one of you guitar or keyboard players to play a 16 bar country lead line. I got no idea how to play in that style. Chickin Pickin or something that could fit. I can post all the chord changes if needed. Key of C 140 BPM This is the rough draft of the song. https://soundcloud.com/planobillydfw/mad-dog-2020 Thanks, Billy

Hi Rik, Thank you so much for playing the lead line. The fact that you would take the time to play something on anything I do just goes to prove there are still wonderful people in this world. And for sure your part will get placed in the song. Again, thanks so much. To bad we don't live next door to each other. It would be ever so cool to get to drink some coffee or a bottle of wine and get to know each other. I assume looking at The Location: The Low Countries by the Sea, you must live somewhere near " de Lage Landen" or " les Pays-Bas". I really love that part of the world and got to spend some time in the area when I lived in France. I really miss Europe, both for the places, but more I miss the people. The French treated me with such kindness I will never forget. I am not much of a musician but anything I can do for you, all you need to do is ask. I will re post the song with you part in it in a day or so. Thank you so very much, Billy

Hi Billy, you're welcome. I like the ancient term "low countries" ,lage landen. The Netherlands just sounds weird and I certainly don't live in Holland : ) Rik

Really cool tune Bill, I enjoyed. Great solo Rikkie, I had a quick go at an intro solo, I'll send a link when I know for sure what I'd want to do. Didn't hear Rikkie's solo and would want to change my turn around because they're very similar. https://soundcloud.com/grant-s/bill-country-dmp-mpGot to get caught up on some mowing first though.

Thanks ohgrant. I listen to your track and it sounded good. I guess if we keep this up I will have to take down the photo of the pink suit and take one of me in my hillbilly overalls with a cowboy hat...lol I will give you time to do a track and we can slice and dice this up. You never know where things will take you. As a result of my questions about " The Low Countries" and what Rikkie said I had to do some historical review of that part of the world. Quite a complex and important part of the world. I think I totally get why he would say " I certainly don't live in Holland : ) ....lol Cheers, Billy

Sounding pretty darn good for now Bill, I wouldn't stress over the mix much at this point because I have a feeling there will be some other folks sending stuff. I can think of quite a few folks that would jump in that are missing in action, which usually means they're off conjuring something. One thing's for sure, you have yourself a great country tune here. Not sure about starting a new thread. There has been some requests for a collab forum, which if we had one... Awesome job so far though Bill, Rikkie and Eva for the wine Edit: Now that I think about it, I've been studying a bit about Country soloing but never had the occasion to play one yet, so that is my first Country solo ever.

Thanks man, I will set on this version for the time being. I really hope I get to play or help in some way on other peoples stuff on this site, music, video,or just buy the beer...lol. I don't want things to be just about me and my ideas. I have several dozen songs that I have written the lyrics and basic musical idea to. None of anything I do is set in stone and I always like to try new styles to stuff I have written. I am not in love with my own work. I do it because I like to do it. I assume you name is Grant??? I am so new here I don't know what to call people...lol I get called a lot of things and some I can not say here...lol...but here is the short list, in English anyway... Bill, Billy, Planobilly, Blind Lemon Simmons, Billy B The Blues Boy From Bar B Q Texas..lollol Cheers, Billy PS...great first go at a country solo.

Hi again Bill, yes it is Grant. Hard to say if another thread will get this project moving along. I would at least change the title to read something like "collab, country players needed" There was some discussion here in the new "forum discussion" forum about a collaboration sub forum here. http://forum.cakewalk.com/How-about-a-Collaboration-sub-forum-m3176017.aspx By the sound of things, they are considering it but for now according to admin., the place for forum collabs is the songs forum. I just hope song forum regulars don't get upset that it may be bumped more often than a normal finished song admission would get because more people get involved.
