I really dig that analog Boards Of Canada sound
I know much has been said about the production techniques of these guys over the years, and to be honest I don't like all of their output, but boy they have churned out some really nice music over the years. And I'm always really taken aback by the sound. They do a lot of bouncing to tape and I'm wondering if I'm every going to get anywhere near this warm kind of sound out of plugs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNE7eZdFRyg PS one of the things I don't like about them is that many of their nicest tracks are too short!
