I really do love Maxx Bass
Aw man I'm always delighted by what this plugin does. I was using a Trilian bass in a track because I liked the tone and the attack, but it didn't have quite enough weight or definition in the mix. Screwed around with it for ages before suddenly remembering Maxx Bass. What a difference, an instant fix. I know some people complain that it adds mud but I find if you move the cutoff point a bit higher than the default and play with the level, it does exactly what it says on the tin without any problems whatsoever. What a great plug.

I love long walks along the beach at sunset...quiet moments under starry skies...taffy pulls...pillow fights...crisp fall evenings...snuggling in front of the fireplace...and puppies.
Oh yeah...and MaxxBass...it's a bad mother!
Plus 1.

The one and only Waves plugin that I still use from time to time is RBass, a dumbed-down version of MaxxBass. However, there are other ways to get that effect that aren't as mud-prone, so it's been relegated to second-string status.

I've sold all of my Waves stuff, but this one is the only one I miss from time to time. Good stuff.

I also have RBass, got it free a while back, but I've never really learned how to use it (no excuse really as it seems to be a simple plugin).

I really really care for Maxxbass (can't say I actually loooove it )...LOL It works and that's all that really matters right? Like Dave said, there are other ways to get that effect, but when a plugin can just "do it", I'm happy. So let's just say I'm "happy" humming the song happy in the background...

Oh gawd, don't tell me I was responsible for encouraging someone to buy a Waves product! I have a reputation to maintain as a curmudgeon.
