I sometimes have to load projects 2 or 3 times to get them to load properly

Because of the problems I was having with Waves plugins being reset on loading a project, I switched to using the ProChannel's inbuilt EQ's to preserve my EQ work. Now I'm having a similar problem with the ProChannel EQ. I'm often presented with flat curves when loading the project. Sometimes the HP and LP settings are preserved, and their buttons are on, but the curve is not showing it (and the audio is not affected). I have to actually turn the HP and LP buttons on and off again to activate the filters.

I find that if I reload the project again (or sometimes 2 or 3 additional times), then the EQ's will load properly. Anyone else having this problem?

I have seen flat pc eqs, but have not narrowed it down as you have. I have noticed that coming back from bounce to tracks, the eqs can flash flat temporarily. I've thought that the problem may be related to a screen repaint??

I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

It does sound like it might be a display issue rather than a problem with restoring settings. Try using some extreme settings that can easily be heard and see if, when the display comes up flat, the EQ isn't actually being applied as expected. Hiding and re-displaying ProChannel might be all that's needed to refresh the display.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Not the case unfortunately. When it first happened, I loaded a project, hit play and was immediately struck by how boomy the bass was and how muddy the low mids were, and the first thing I did was to check the EQ's....found them flat.

Please submit a bug if you have a project that you can repro this on. Attach the project file affected. It may not be necessary to attach the audio folder for this kind of issue.

Noel, the same thing has happened to me and it isn't a matter of the EQs being applied but not painting. They go flat and stay that way.

I think Sharke is saying that the project will not reset the eqs and re-loading repeatedly will alter the case and they will eventually populate. This is not the case for me. The time it happened to me recently, it was a permanent change and re-loading the project made no diff.

I'm aiming to turn on the thing that saves a version of the project every x minutes and then, if it happens, I'll send in the set of project files. I can't explain what makes it happen.

For me, the most recent time it happened to me (and maybe the only time... not sure I can remember when it happened before that), I had been bouncing with external fx and crashing a lot. Then, after a while I looked up and all my EQs were set to flat (it was only a 4 track project). But I had meticulously set the EQs and didn't know when they went flat.

So just the UI shows it flat but the EQ is actually present and gets applied? Yeah if you have a project in that state send it in. Even if its corrupted maybe there is something defensive we can do to resync the UI in the future.
