If this didn't affect the last 15 tracks in sonar I wouldn’t care. But Sonar forgets your last projects this way. It even happens when closing projects inside Sonar, like when you want to switch project inside Sonar.

Does this happen with any project?

What happens if you just start a new project and then save it before loading things into it - essentially leaving it empty of any loaded effects or synths, and also without any audio - just saving and closing Sonar like that.

Also, if you hold Shift down when opening a project, Sonar will open in its internal Safe Mode, and if you do this, it will ask you if you want to load each plugin - try not loading any plugin or effect, then when the project opens, close Sonar without saving - does it still crash?  (if not, one or more plugins may be problematic, if it crashes when plugins are loaded but does not when no plugins are loaded).

What sort of audio interface are you using?  If USB, is it plugged into a USB 3 port, or a USB 2 port?  (some interfaces do not like being plugged into a USB 3 port).

Also, if you are using any 32-bit 3rd-party plugins in a 64-bit Sonar, sometimes that can cause flaky behavior, as the bridging software Sonar would automatically use or the commercially available JBridge - can both still fail to make it stable in Sonar 64-bit for certain 32-bit plugins to work properly.
