I think I installed the wrong way?

Embarrassed to admit it, but I can't find the demo file. (Open > Cakewalk Content > nothing here?) I've been clicking around for a few hours, nothing at all... When I try to open a template, I'm warned that the files aren't there, yet they open anyway. I also can't hear anything (I see the meters moving), and I've checked my input/output, changed to an external device, changed headphones, etc. etc. etc. Is it possible that I installed the wrong way, and SONAR needs to be repaired/reinstalled? Or am I just missing something? It's a new physical copy, so I can't imagine it was tampered with. OS: 64-bit Windows 7 Thanks in advance :D

Let's start with not hearing anything, what are you trying to play? Maybe try importing an audio file and see if you can play it back.

you can re install just the content then,re install the disks or the download(if you saved it) and choose to install the content only, just put check marks next to the extra fatures.or added content.

I'm not in front of the DAW, but those are MIDI drum patterns right? What sort of track do you have them loaded into? Is it a MIDI track with output to a soft synth? You may want to look at the tutorials or this video from Sonar: http://youtu.be/w7YvO-LXXts
